Mark R Slaughter - In Death, My Final Part

Mark R Slaughter - In Death, My Final Part

A tower grim; a glowering darkness, br And only brown of red the other hue br – I saw it in the distant eyes – br And yes, He knew, but focussed only br On the mortal soul of mine – br After all, He had a role to play, br And wine: my shivering blood to quaff! br If only I could Him betray – br To break the seal of destiny; br Escape the lone cacophony br That emanates from wailing minds! br br Damn the fate of His – it awes and blinds! br But oh! the mighty hammer strikes a toll; br The slow approach of Him upon the knoll br Commences exudation of a dying heart. br Endorsing all, I honed my final part.
