Sandra Martyres - Black Memories

Sandra Martyres - Black Memories

He carefully placed a black rose on her grave br It was perhaps his way of saying goodbye br He also added a card with a black ribbon that read br “For my departed wife as she embarks on a new life” br br Back home he ripped up the wall paper br The pale pink colour reminded him of her br He gathered all her clothes and cosmetics br And sent them in a sealed bag to a local charity br br When the house was rid of every memory br He brought in designers to refurbish it br With new furniture upholstery and wall paper br He wanted nothing to remind him of her br br The neighbours watched the happenings br With more than normal neighbourly interest br They wondered why he had painstakingly br Eliminated even the faintest memory of her br br Their curiosity was satiated a fortnight later br With the arrival of two detectives at his door br They spent and hour or so apparently quizzing him br And then came the verdict –he had killed his wife! !br br Sandra Martyresbr br
