Fiona Davidson - Natures Ballet

Fiona Davidson - Natures Ballet

From my stance upon the clifftop br I can see the waves crash below br The foam rages and froths upon br Rocks that fight to stay above br Wind whips through my hair br Lashing my face with anger br Natures beauty at its finest br Wraps me in its arms tightly br Keeps me standing here br Buffeted upright by its force br The keening of the seagulls br Pierces my soul and heart br As they swoop and rise br Held aloft by the currents br That swarm in the air today br Storm clouds turn to black br As they flow across the sky br Reaching out with icy fingers br They consume all colour br That exists in our world br Replacing with shadows br That turn to sheets of rain br Flickers appear on horizons br As lightening begins its dance br A ballet performed at speed br As if only for me it seems br I'll stay here on the clifftop br And watch her roll around the bay br Until the heavens are quiet br And once again she sleepsbr br Fiona Davidsonbr br
