There are three ghosts of Christmas, br which visit us each year. br One from the past, br one from the present br and one from the future. br They show us what our life was, br how it is now and how br if we do not change it will be. br The past br shows us our roots br of how we have become. br The present br shows us how we are, br a mirror image of ourselves, br that not so rosy image br we do not want to see. br The future br shows how we will eventually become, br wizen and unloved br by nearly everyone br with the exception of ourselves. br It gives us this glimpse br so that we can change it br if we really want to. br That decision is ours br and if we do br next year when br the three ghosts of Christmas come to call br the piper maybe playing br a different kind of tune.
