Alf Hutchison - 3 Painting on Auction

She gazed on me through pale blue eyes, br Sweet lady in the frame, br Her beauty caught in a flash of time, br Fair damsel without name, br br Soft lips of ripe strawberry red, br So vulnerable, so alone, br White skin, pale and flawless, br Fragile as China bone; br br Her trussed up golden layered hair, br Coiffured to near perfection; br Jewelry draped about her neck br A priceless pearl collection br br Tears I now see in her eye, br This lass I had never met br Her haunting countenance for sure br Is one I’ll nere forget. br br The gavel woke me from my trance, br The auctioneer’s voice so bold br “Your priceless painting, Satan, br Is now officially sold.” br br Life is like that work of art, br Painted in shades of leaven, br Focusing on the untold riches, br On earth and not in Heaven.
