Lonnie Hicks - Mind Maps Notwithstanding

Her map of the world is different than mine br there is no north south east or west br everything is centered in Middle-Earth br and all things had some similar priority. br br I looked at it with her and she said br 'In the center of my world are five things br all of the same priority, the kids, br my friends, my parents, my things, br our pets, and of course, br you my love. br br She had gathered them all in the center of the map table br cosied up. br br My map was completely different. br Mine was hierarchical. br At the top was my job. br br And one ladder rung down was sex br (This did not make her top five) br br Next in line was money br and then my family br and then my friends. br br 'Now, ' she said 'here is the problem; br we are running with different maps of the world. br br Everything is important to me and br you have an importance hierarchy. br br How can you decide that your job is more important than family? br br He said, how can you decide all of your five are of equal import? br This leads to misunderstandings. br br So we agreed after a while that the only explanation br for the survival of the human race was that both sexes br had an irrational attachment to one another br that we call love br because logically br these two br are not even on the same planet. br br 'Humm, she said 'I love you but I shouldn't. br 'Humm, he said, 'True we have that in common br but little else. Let us call love factor x. br 'Must be hormones.' br she said. br 'Must be.' he said. br 'Now what game is on tv today? ' br 'Don't know she said br got to get the kids to the soccer game, pick up mom br and do a wash.' br 'Humm.
