Mark R Slaughter - A Fresh Endeavour

Mark R Slaughter - A Fresh Endeavour

So now I've taken leave of life, br I thought you'd like to know, I still br Possess a mind in love, oh wife; br A soulful eye to catch a show of br Silent beauty – ever yours; br An ear to pick the metaphors br Of tonal dance in words you say, br Grasp a thought in verse you pray br Inside your head, bemused of mind, br Softly mournful, intertwined with br Understanding tears. br br I'll drift a whisper o'er to you br To tell that I am quietly calm; br Keeping time till your adieu br To flesh, upon the carol of a br Psalm of consummation. Now! br A fresh endeavour – we're forever br One together, resting yonder, br Cross our open plane of blue.
