Göran Gustafsson - Strange Dreams

When no one is here my soul to keep br A dream comes to me where I sleep br In the darkness I hear the angels weep br And my mind is flying low and deep br br I see people thrown in the burning sea br I see them drown in greed and desire br I can feel the smell of burning flesh br And I hear the cries from cities on fire br br I see them rise like mist from the grave br In line upon line they walk enslaved br They've tried to take heaven by force br And were lost on the way to be saved br br Some people carry the sign of the Cross br Some they listen to the Prophet's call br Others they wear the Star of David br But Abraham is father of all br br At the roadside a lonely horseman rests br Tired from riding his pale white horse br Unseen by the people walking past br With hardened hearts without remorse br br The horseman carries an ancient mission br On his lonesome journey from dawn of time br To mend the vessels and bring us a vision br Of the Golden City in our Self so sublime br br Copyright © 2009 Göran Gustafsson.
