Lonnie Hicks - Eye Mixing

Lonnie Hicks - Eye Mixing

Much is made of the human eye- br often said to be the soul's window pane- br but I br wonder what is seen when br eye meets eye; br what then are the soul's contents br conveyed.? br br Do we see turmoil or joy, br grief or fear, br are these then our surmise br of the soul's moods, br its glees, and discontents? br br When I peer br I see these things br but I waver at seeing them as maps to the soul contents br although I admit they might be. br br But carefully look next time if you will br and you'll see as I do br that each eye has it's own identity. br br One left most br is often glassy bright br but opaque; br But the other one often carries br a sad look or is somnambulant; br and not alert br as its leftward mate. br br Some most beautiful orbs br have blue, green, brown or black br stares and specks in them br and present themselves to be almost unreadable. br br But discombobulate one from the other br as I have br and you'll soon see br eyes most often give you alternate sides of the human soul; br one can be hard as iris marble br the other shy and retreating, br giving the person who danes to look br a sense of conflicted-ness br between aggressiveness br and shy retreat. br What then is the characterization of this soul br to be, fight and flee? br br So I stand confused br on the deck of my ship br peering through my eye lenses; br what manner then is the eye examined? br br As I closer peer br I realize br my br human I br puts into play four window panes br your two and mine; br and mine are very likely to see br whatever they will br as two souls combine br giving us br a mix br not visible br to either br you br or br either eye.
