Ratan Bhattacharjee - Haiti: Under the Bricks Buried Alive

I was lying under the heap of bricks br One two, ten, fifty, hundred, thousands... br I could not cry any more br They all fell upon me one by one br all at a time, I dont know how they exactly fell upon me br I saw the whole building becoming bricks br The debris rushed upon me br To bury me alive br I was dead, I was sure I was dead. br I never died earlier, so I did not know if I was dead. br Bricks fell on me one after one, all at a time br I bled profusely, my senses got benumbed br One of my eyes got blind br One of my arms bruised awfully, br I heard no human sound br But I longed to hear such a sound br Human voice could be so sweet to hear br I heard a man calling a man br 'O, come here, a man is still breathing' br I lost my sense and heard no more.
