Ravi Panamanna - To my young wife

Ravi Panamanna - To my young wife

I am writing umpteen verses br And my lass dances in grace. br I am glancing at the twinkling stars br And they whisper all our secret themes. br br On endless beauty doth I meditate br And I am within thy supple figure. br I am scanning the distant blues br And it is all thy blushing eyes. br br I am in the vale of springs br And it brings me thy charming face. br I walk among the cool shades br And feel thy radiant smile. br br A veil of mist now embraces me br And I am lost in thy soft kisses. br I lay in this flowing moonlight br And thy coldest spot I gently kiss. br br The solemn notes of this night br Unto me whisper a tale of silken nights. br In strong, surging waves br We are tossed to blissful moments. br br The last traveler is now gone br The slumbering world is preparing for bed. br Like us, the candle is burning br And my dreams are on an endless wing. br br I look through the window br And see a lonesome bird on wings. br He sails unto the distant dales, br Upon the wings he carries solitary moments. br br Time hath separated us br But not distance, I stress. br I am hearing your silent weep br Like the singular voices of the distant woods. br br We are too young to withstand, br Pearl drops are whispering in the wind. br The candle is melting through last phase br But my pen has miles to go. br br Like our wandering thoughts br Moon is wandering among the clouds. br And when thou art burning within me br The passage of this night is too small for my pen. br br xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx br br The theme is obvious. Those who happen to live in separation due to force of circumstances can easily know the depth of this poem. May god bless them for circumstances to live together. This is my prayer.
