Gita Ashok - Examination

Gita Ashok - Examination

This poem reflects the sentiments of a typical student in high school struggling while preparing for his final examination. br br When it's time for examination, br my mind is filled with apprehension br regarding problems on integration br and the theory of approximation. br br When I'm studying reflection and refraction, br outside on the street, there's a lot of commotion: br with people gathered for a politician's oration br to woo them for the impending election. br br As I try to understand the topic on respiration br I feel it may lead to suffocation br So I meditate for relaxation br and begin the countdown for my vacation. br br Why can't there be chemistry without calculation br or biology without heredity and variation? br Why do I need to learn about the Indus valley civilization br or cram all the articles of the Constitution? br br How am I to remember the climate, soil and vegetation? br How will learning Environmental Education lead me to salvation? br How will reading Shakespeare improve my communication? br And why are my Hindi lessons so filled with dramatization? br br Why do I have to sacrifice Physical Education br for the sake of curriculum completion? br Why can't I have unlimited hours of Computer Application br Without having to fear about examination? br br I'm sure you'll agree that examination br only kills my creativity and imagination.
