Gertrude Stein - Stanzas In Meditation: Stanza I

Gertrude Stein - Stanzas In Meditation: Stanza I

I caught a bird which made a ball br And they thought better of it. br But it is all of which they taught br That they were in a hurry yet br In a kind of a way they meant it best br That they should change in and on account br But they must not stare when they manage br Whatever they are occasionally liable to do br It is often easy to pursue them once in a while br And in a way there is no repose br They like it as well as they ever did br But it is very often just by the time br That they are able to separate br In which case in effect they could br Not only be very often present perfectly br In each way whichever they chose.
