William Henry Ogilvie - The Stable Path

William Henry Ogilvie - The Stable Path

The last red rose on the arch has faded, br The border has mourned for its last white flower; br The dahlias droop where the frost has raided, br The grass is wet with an autumn shower; br Dull are the paths with their leaf-strewn gravel, br Cold is the wind as it wanders by, br Still there's a path that a man can travel br Happy at heart though the roses die.
