William Cowper - Olney Hymn 66: I Will Praise The Lord At All Times

William Cowper - Olney Hymn 66: I Will Praise The Lord At All Times

Winter has a joy for me, br While the Saviour's charms I read, br Lowly, meek, from blemish free, br In the snowdrop's pensive head. br br Spring returns, and brings along br Life-invigorating suns: br Hark! the turtle's plaintive song br Seems to speak His dying groans! br br Summer has a thousand charms, br All expressive of His worth; br 'Tis His sun that lights and warms, br His the air the cools the earth. br br What! has autumn left to say br Nothing of a Saviour's grace? br Yes, the beams of milder day br Tell me of his smiling face. br br Light appears with early dawn, br While the sun makes haste to rise; br See His bleeding beauties drawn br On the blushes of the skies. br br Evening with a silent pace, br Slowly moving in the west, br Shews an emblem of His grace, br Points to an eternal rest.
