John Newton - Will Ye Also Go Away?

John Newton - Will Ye Also Go Away?

When any turn from Zion's way, br (Alas! what numbers do!) br Methinks I hear my Saviour say, br Wilt thou forsake me too? br br Ah Lord! with such a heart as mine, br Unless thou hold me fast; br I feel I must, I shall decline, br And prove like them at last. br br Yet thou alone hast pow'r, I know, br To save a wretch like me; br To whom, or whither, could I go, br If I should turn from thee? br br Beyond a doubt I rest assured br Thou art the Christ of God; br Who hast eternal life secured br By promise and by blood. br br The help of men and angels joined, br Could never reach my case; br Nor can I hope relief to find, br But in thy boundless grace. br br No voice but thine can give me rest, br And bid my fears depart; br No love but thine can make me blest, br And satisfy my heart.
