Adelaide Crapsey - Night

Adelaide Crapsey - Night

I have minded me br Of the noon-day brightness, br And the cricket's drowsy br Singing in the sunshine. . br br I have minded me br Of the slim marsh-grasses br That the winds at twilight, br Dying, scarcely ripple. . br br And I cannot sleep. br I have minded me br Of a lily-pond, br Where the waters sway br All the moonlit leaves br And the curled long stems. . br And I cannot sleep.
