Faint--Fair, and act a Play. br br In some few Hours we must repair, br To act, like Thespis, in the Fair: br And, as our Stage is of a Piece br With that transmitted down from Greece, br Some Pow'r celestial must unfold br Our Fable, too obscurely told: br And, since it helps the Poet's Art, br When Actors speak and look their Part; br Wonder not, fair One, that we sue, br The Goddess may be play'd by you.
