George Chapman - Opinion

George Chapman - Opinion

There is no truth of any good br To be discerned on earth ; and, by conversion, br Nought therefore simply bad; but as the stuff br Prepared for Arras pictures, is no picture br Till it be formed, and man hath cast the beams br Of his imaginous fancy thorough it, br In forming ancient kings and conquerors br As he conceives they looked and were attired, br Though they were nothing so: so all things here br Have all their price set down from men's conceits, br Which make all terms and actions good or bad, br And are but pliant and well-coloured threads br Put into feigned images of truth.
