Pain comes and goes br With the breath I take br Or puff out br When it becomes stale br Cries my heart br Ever churns my nose. br br People see me br As though I am happy br I have boundless joy br But the reality br They do not know br Or wish not so. br br Wind awakes br Moves with force br Takes my tired breath br To some unknown place br Filling the spot br With ever-soaring pain. br br Who cares br What is there and why? br They care but for themselves br Or their kids br Or those who are close br In blood or in wealth. br br I stake myself br Where I always board br Where I always fight br Trying to come out br Sound and safe br With some scratches on my back.
