Lonnie Hicks - Crouching Low

Lonnie Hicks - Crouching Low

Two men in ragged clothing br sat beside the road br alert and on the hunt. br Each watched a different direction br looking for game to emerge. br One espied a small bird br unknown to either of them br and its strutting attracted them. br br ' That bird, ' one man says br 'we could kill and eat. br It does not look that fast br and would be easy prey.' br br 'Well it could work, ' the other man said br 'but if we don't hunt him and instead capture him br we could keep him as a pet.' br br 'What good would that do? ' said the first man. br 'We don't need pets.' br 'No, no' said the second man br 'lets keep the bird br and take its eggs and eat the babies! ' br br 'Now 'said the first man' that makes sense. br The Bird listening to all this with his super hearing br crouched low and muttered 'Barbarians.' br br Here comes the Age of the Carnivores.
