John F. McCullagh - A Life in the Theater

There are faces in the darkness br br There to see and not be seen. br br We are players acting out br br “A Midsummer night's Dream” br br br br I am a minor player- br br An inconsequential part br br Think of me as of a wall br br Between two loving hearts br br br br I've learned my choreography br br And know my lines by heart. br br I hear the music playing- br br the thing’s about to start. br br br br Stage love is unending br br and best described as blind. br br No pair ending up estranged- br the happy ever kind- br br br br br The people go home happy br br By car or cab or train br br And wake up the next morning br br To find that nothing’s changed.br br John F.
