They say with conviction that br Tragedies regularly happen br This is unfortunate especially br When they are of the Greek variety br br Here one of the world's oldest br Civilisations is on the brink br Having courted disaster with br A strong sense of determination br br Although Greece's contribution br To the European Union's GDP br At two percent is rather paltry br Its actions caused a major tremor br br First Greece shook, then did the Euro br The US was not far behind and soon br The whole world was in panic mode br Markets and sentiments tanked again br br Reacting fast European mints went br Into action to print billions of Euros br To save not only the Greeks from a real tragedy br But the other PIIGS from the slaughter house br br The world heaved a sigh of relief but now br Belt-tightening and generous contributions br To the national exchequers are demanded br The question is whether the piglets will comply br br br br br NB: Another economic disaster that was waiting to happen....Greece was the first to be caught in the act of cooking its books....The other PIIGS (Portugal, Italy, Ireland, Spain) who could have problems with their troubled economies forced the Eurpoean Union to take action to protect the Euro and the future of the Union.
