While the weather was still warm br they played in the fountains br and life seemed easy br it was natural to smile br br we could see no white caps br on the distant mountains br our focus was on br this golden mile br br it was time for the young br to get thoroughly soaked br and dry in the lenient br October sun br br the adults just sat br quite still, and joked br recalling their days br of childish fun br br at the back of their minds br was something like night br but far enough away br to put off till tomorrow br br while the kids still played br it just wasn’t right br to admit there was anything br remotely like sorrowbr br Paul Judgesbr br
