If poetry was a brush br And my words were my paint br Let your mind be your eyes br Let the strokes of my words feed your soul br br Of soaring eagles, circling, watching br Over white tipped mountains, towering br Standing proud, with valleys at their feet br With lush green tree tops looking up in awe br br Cold clear water from melted snow br Falling over waterfalls, moving in slow motion br Winding rivers that Carve the earth br Pushing forward to feed the ocean br br Beautiful sunrise as it peeps over mountain tops br Giving warm rays of light, feeding all br Clouds full of rain, shower life to every grain of sand br A golden sunset that disappears off the horizon br br Rolling desert sands that dance with the wind br Dead grains of sand teaming with life br Amazing lakes, still like glass mirror the sky br Watching flocks of birds playing in the breeze br br Rocking waves pushing back and forth br Icebergs bobbing like ice in a glass br Vast ocean waters that swallow the sky br Ships crossing a seemingly endless void br br If my words painted a picture for all to see br One painting but different to all br Each beautiful to the minds eye br May it`s beauty feed your soul br br br 23 may 2010br br Vaughn Bekkerbr br
