Little by little I wasted away br No one could keep the pain at bay br Soon enough the Darkness drew near br And the only thing I felt was pure fear br That once was would become naught br That I would never find all that I sought... br br But then in answer to my blight br A ray of light br My hope was returned br The Darkness I now spurned br For it would be the light that would carry me off br So tender and soft br The Darkness forgotten br I remebered my life br And realized that the light was an escape from my strife br If atleast I entered the light.
