Patti Masterman - Things that we see every day

Things that we see every day br Must live in a finite world, confined to the aisles br And the avenues, of our attention. br br If you always take the same exact path br To go somewhere, each day br You can become oblivious, to what ought to be obvious. br br We crave exciting things, of a dark and hidden nature; br The esoteric, inappropriate things of existence, br Believing the mundane beneath our interested notice. br br Yet, if we could occasionally open our eyes br A bit earlier; or perhaps look out through only a tiny hole br Poked through our normal wide field of vision, we could be astonished br br That all the miraculous things we thought banished br To the exotic districts where we can never go, br We have barely avoided stumbling over, every time we go out.
