Margaret Alice - 2010/06/18 Simile (Rev.)

I love ancient minds, the grandiose br thoughts of bygone tale-tellers, their br sense of awe, infusing all they saw br with supernatural significance and br deeper meaning br br I share their cosmological delight in br a machine too vast for mankind to br penetrate or understand, reject their br helplessness and despair in a br mystifying universe br br To succor my belief I NEED a kind br intelligence as creative origin of all that br exist, ideas of malevolence as creation br kills my spirit; though I cannot br breathe in materialism, br br the thin, cold air of cynicism, nor feel br joy in small three-dimensional reality br I will not face over-powering tragedy br of an evil universe blindly grinding br its unfeeling millstone br br If I am to live as a useful, pragmatic, br hard-working human being I need to br rest my mind in beautiful thoughts of br harmony, benevolence and rational br self-interest br br I won’t be the toy of harsh, unfeeling br powers else I die of despair, I admire br loving intent of a Christ-dreamer using br ideas of Precession to create a simile br of deliverance br br for a suffering humanity …br br Margaret Alicebr br
