This man with only one good eye, br Had labored long to find br The path to God, in a troubled world br That seemed completely blind. br br He saw man's temples rise and fall, br He saw nature's wrath prevail; br He saw the mighty dominate br The humble, meek and frail. br br He studied faith's theologies br And watched their wars unfold; br His two eyed friends excuses were- br 'These things have been foretold'. br br Still, on he searched the mysteries br Of life's final afterglow; br Till, void of hope, he realized br Some things we cannot know.
