Robert Laurence Binyon - Awakening

Robert Laurence Binyon - Awakening

Out of first sleep as they awoke br The moon had stolen upon her face. br It seemed that they had opened eyes br New on another world and place. br br The eyes of each the other sought br Wondering; no sound was in the night. br On them the very soul of peace br Gazed in that spiritual light. br br Beyond the reign of hurt and pain, br Beyond the boundaries of death, br Each seemed with their awaking sighs br To breathe at last their native breath.
