Robert Laurence Binyon - On The Hills

Robert Laurence Binyon - On The Hills

Drinking wide, sunny wind, br Hand within hand, br We look from hill to hill br Of our own land. br br Hand within hand, we remember br Without speech, br And hour upon hour comes about us; br We number them each. br br O little far clouds that swim br In the round of blue, br Are you bringing those hours again, br Shining in you? br br You melt into air, drop on earth, br Sucked up in the light, br And again you appear, in the blue br You are born, you are bright, br br As those hours live in us, nay beyond; br When we die, they shall still br Lift our hearts up, as now we uplift br Our hearts on the hill.
