Here you are talking about; br Being 'changed in the twinkling of an eye.' br If the Lord should come, br He'd change you to nothing! br For there is nothing to you. br br You seem to be expecting to go to some parlor br Away up somewhere, br And when the wicked have been burnt, br You are coming back to walk in triumph br Over their ashes– br This is to be your New Jerusalem! br br Now, I can't see any thing so very nice in that, br Coming back to such a mess as that will be, br A world covered with the ashes of the wicked! br Besides, if the Lord comes and burns– br As you say He will– br I am not going away; br I am going to stay here br And stand the fire, br like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego! br br And Jesus will walk with me through the fire, br And keep me from harm. br Nothing belonging to God can burn, br Any more than God himself; br Such shall have no need br To go away to escape the fire! br No, I shall remain.
