I met her at Strawberry Fields br one day on my lunch br break. br She was sitting on a bench br eating an apple. br She was tastefully br dressed br all in black, br and her fingernails br were black, too, like her hair. br On the bench br next to her, she had a violin case. br I asked her if she had a Tommy gun br in it, and she smiled. br 'Yeah, ' she said, 'I woik fuh da mob.' br 'I hope it's not me they're after, ' br I said. br 'Nah, ' she said, 'it ain't you.' br 'You sure? ' br 'Of course, ' she said, 'I'd nevah whack br a nice guy like you.' br 'My name's Clyde Barrow, ' I said, br 'what's yours? ' br 'Bonnie Pawkah, ' she said. br 'How about you and I go rob a br Starbucks, Bonnie? ' br 'Shuah, why not? ' she said, 'I could use a cup o' java.' br Now, we live in Brooklyn Heights. br We have a little girl with black hair and black br fingernails who takes violin lessons.
