As we wake up each day br Some of us without delay br Will thank the Lord for another day br And seek His help along the way br For our journey through the way br A great way to start a day br A good prayer some will say br br At times we'll feel the weight of yesterday br It's the strength of life fading away br And then we'll try to stretch a little br Olny to find that we are far too brittle br The legs in place upon them to settle br We have to get to the little kettle br A need to drink and settle br To face a new day's battle br br Rolling out of bed glad you aren't dead br Most times the body feels heavy as lead br Even so give thanks for yet another day br A great way to start a day br A good prayer some will say br As we wake up each day br To face the morning's dew. br br br All rights reserved.
