Shalom Freedman - In My Old Age I Am Learning Humility

IN MY OLD AGE I AM LEARNING HUMILITY br br br In my old age I am learning Humility br I have not been good enough br I will never realize the dreams I had for my work br I am not good enough br There are others far better than me br In each and everything I do br I hoped I would be better br I thought I was better br I was wrong- br br Mediocrity is mine br And I am a minor player br If a player at all br On the stage of Literature- br br In my old age I am learning Humility br It hurts a bit, br But I am still here br And I will nonetheless br Write it out to the end.
