Tiffany Rose Moczydlowski - Wintertime

The icy embrace of the frigid North wind br Makes me shiver through my thin, tattered sweater br All the bare, dead tree branches br Shakes and groan in the freezing weather br The thick blanket of snow br Cover's everything, everything br Destroying all the grass and flowers br These animals no longer eat like kings br The land seems barren, lifeless too br The only greens are the evergreens br Sharp, pointy needles that don't suit as food br Is Mother Nature in a bad mood? br Oh, do you hear those gales howl? br They sound like lonely wolves, calling one another br Pleading for companionship br This is why we need each other br The freezing water harbors under ice br Bears and frogs now hibernate br Trying to sleep through this harsh time br I never understand why it works so great br This chilly breeze bites my nose br I try to ignore it br Needing strength, you know? br Huge blizzards blow fierce br Trapping creatures in their tracks br So many hardships suddenly arise br The thing is, it's only December br I wonder...
