Randy McClave - Telling Lies

Randy McClave - Telling Lies

You tell your lies unto your daughters br You told those lies unto their fathers br You tell them lies, in such a disguise br So later in years them you could deny. br br You tell your lies unto your friends br You told those lies to all your men br You make up an excuse, just to confuse br So no one knows what you put them through. br br You tell your lies unto your teacher br You told your lies unto your preacher br You then shed a tear, so with pity they'd hear br And also when no one else is ever near. br br You tell your lies to any caller br You told your lies unto your lawyer br You say any word, though may be absurd br Even though from someone else you heard. br br You tell your lies in your prayer br You told those lies to the choir br But you still will be blamed, for all the pain br As sadly you and your lying will remain. br br You will tell your lies each and everyday br You will tell those lies when you get old and gray br Sadly you will tell them till, your heart beats still br But then hearing those lies no one else ever will. br br You will tell your lies when you meet GOD br You will tell those lies with a pitiful nod br You will beg him again, that you did no sin br But GOD will know where you have been. br br You will tell your lies when you meet the Devil br You will tell those lies as as you are at the same level br But at you he will grin, as he knows all your sin br As with you all those times he too has been. br br Your daughters will sin and tell their lies br As to anyone that will listen they will also cry br As you taught them not the truth, but only how to use br So also their destiny from lies they did choose. br br Randy L.
