What some so casually name br 'bad writing' br Could yet lay claim br To the title: br Good poetry. br br With unenslaved words br Birth is given to br Freedom of expression, br The criteria it may lack br Is replaced with deep meaning, br Brave enough to explore br The depths, dangers and delights br Of simply being. br No shallow cliches. br No axes to grind. br Just flowing with the ache of desire br For lifes Love to find. br br Ontic words mystically spoken br Salve for the soul broken, br The cry of the spirit br To dance with wild words, br With no stiff logic to stifle br Visions of free flying birds, br Just a serenade of thought br Love so freely flowing br Without need to be sold, or bought. br br Articulative autonomy of speech br Allows the depth br Of great dreams to be reached, br For it takes lyrical liberty br To bring metaphor alive br In such descriptive delight as: br Dancing barefoot across the oceans flow br While gazing at shimmering stars br Swimming in the glossy depths below. br br Only in a liberation of language br Can one acutely describe br The aura of where br Tree tops and rainbows collide, br Scattering colors to the wind....... br Only there, by way of poetry br Can be heard the sublime messages br Creation, to us, does gently send. br br Unconstrained communication br When allowed a visceral voice br Speaks of br Meanings without time; br Speaks to br The thirsty souls of mankind; br Speaks for br The Love that binds. br br - Yes - it could truly be classified: br ' bad writing '... by some, br But, still br Its beauty lies within br Freedom of expression; br And, therefore, br It is indeed good....... br And, it is poetry.
