Things have changed in our town. br All the old grocery stores br are gone out of business. br Theaters are closed. br New interstate highways are built. br br Major hospitals have relocated br (and are booming with business) . br Very few of the old pharmacies br are still hanging ‘round. br br The old department stores, br like kress, Nifty City br and H&L Green br are all gone. br br But there is an old faithful br that’s still around. br Thrifty Supply Center, br an all-in-one hardware store; br The oldest in the city. br Ever body goes to Thrifty. br And having served for more than br one hundred years, br it’s a staple of the town.
