When I dream the dream of paradise br I see a picture of you br And when I dream the dream of love and care br I see a picture of us two br br And when I dream a dream of loneliness br I see a shadow on the wall br Looking back at me like br I'm nothing at all br br But those dreams a quickly chased away br When I wake up to a sunny day br And I see your pretty face right by my side br br When I dream a dream of smiling br The room is full of you br And if I dream a dream of candy land br The sweetest thing is you br br And if the nightmare comes along br To say its fond goodbyes br The thought of you will stop it br before those dreams arise br br Because with you sharing my bed at night br My dream will always come out right br And tomorrow will always be another day br br If I dream a dream while I'm awake br That dream will be of you br If I dream a dream of wedding cakes br I'll dream a dream of you br br And when I dream a dream of a loving wife br That dream will be of you br And if I dream a dream of growing old br I'll be growing old with you br br And if my dream were ever to come true br I know it will be because of you br And that's the reason that I love you so. br br br br br This poem © Timothy David Cook.
