Marva Seaton - A Tribute to Someone Special

Marva Seaton - A Tribute to Someone Special

I saw, not for the first time, br Traces of tears mirrored in your eyes, br But the tears lost, for you did not, br Once let go of the smile, br I saw quite clearly the pain, br You did not try to disguise, br And a part of me grieved, br And inside I wept. br br You who gave love to one and all, br And mothered those who weren’t, br even your own, , br I ask myself, how can someone, br Who has given so much love, br Bear so much pain? br br I saw you, a strong tower, br A great mountain, unshaken, unmoved, br A woman like Job, br And like Job you bore the things, br That were unjustly thrust upon you. br br The passing of the years multiplied, br Your sorrow and your pain, br And yet you did not complain, br I saw in you no bitterness, br No revenge, no regrets, no hate.
