Have you ever seen an eagle eying its pray br or a pidgin wondering what he’s gonna do today br a stubborn wood pecker going at that tree trunk br or a ugly swan alone in the park pound br br have you ever seen an owls eyes glowing br or watched a peacocks feathers whiles their showing br a parrot who can repeat someone else br or a humming bird singing to himself br br be yourself, be that me br soaring threw the world, doing your thing br show us what you’ve got inside don’t try and hide br Like an ostrich in the sand, on land forever br Don’t copy him or her be your own bird br br Light your own fire, be your own designer br Show us what you’re made of, be creative br Don’t copy him or her, be your own bird br br Hey ho what do you know, I’m flying so low br Spreading those wings I found on my own shoulders br Open up those feathers their good, anywhere you go br You’ve got independence use it on the road br Step of that cliff and you’ll start soaring br No one can stop you, use your own courage br br It’s not easy, to find your own specie br You don’t what to hear it, but you’ve got your own spirit br Don’t copy him or her, be your own bird br So take my word be your own birdbr br Life in a Poembr br
