Sitting within the comforts br My home offered me, br I wondered if I really br Ought to take this chance. br br Life seemed brilliant br And safe as usual br Yet my heart yearned br To stand up for br What I truly believe in. br br My mind pointed out br How comfortable I could br Live my life if I chose, br Tempting me to stay br Here in my comfort zone. br br Yet the overwhelming pressure br My heart pressed me with br Made me stand to take risk br br I took my steps br With all my strength. br I had to walk out br Into the darkest night. br br I was out in the cold, br Dark and lonely world br All by myself. br br The night held its terrors br For every traveler and br I was no exception. br br Fear gripped me and br Shook me inside out. br Yet I knew I had to move on. br br And I'm still, to this day, br Walking in the dark night br Looking for that light br Which will guide me br to my destiny. br br What horrors wait for me br I care not for I've made br A choice that can't be reversed.
