Margaret Alice Second - Calligraphic Script

Margaret Alice Second - Calligraphic Script

Bought the Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady br unfortunately called Edith Holden, like any self- br respecting Hollywood director I wish to give her br a more pleasing name like Ernestine, Elizabeth br or Eileen, her painted illustrations are exquisite br br This little fairy diary is a testament to my lack of br discernment, if I had realised the importance of br elegance and classic good taste, I would have br bought something covered in velvet and leather, br high-quality paper rough-grained and textured br br I would have written with a calligraphy pen, an br artwork in itself – this roller pen lacks character br and grace; at least I can try to change my hand- br writing, as for illustrations – there is no hope, I br cannot master watercolours or flowers or birds br br But from this page I shall write in small letters, br hoping it makes a difference…ah yes, it does br and oh, the drawings in the Edwardian diary br are pure perfection, I wish I could hang on br long enough to some of my own creations br br To grace them with a calligraphic script and br keep them near me in a fairy book br such as this….
