You open your eyes and look at me br I stare back at you helplessly br You look so pale and weak br As you lie on this hospital bed br A huge white bandage covers your tiny little head br You reach for my hand and hold it tight br And all of my strength washes away br As tears fill my eyes br I try to hold them back but it's no use br They fall down my cheek br I know you're dying and there's nothing I can do br You're my best friend, without you there's no reason to go on. br You release my hand and wipe my tears br You smile with your pale white lips br 'Don't cry' You say br I hold your hand and br I close my eyes shut for a while. br Then your hands start to lose its grip and my eyes open in fear. br It's time. br You take a deep breath br Your last breath br and your eyes close br I stand there and watch as your body fades br 'I'll miss you' I Whisper and pull the sheets over your face.
