Siyabonga Njica - Emotions of a Fatherless Child

We live in a society haunted by hate, br No sign of common love, br No justice for selfish bait. br Youth grieves over petty issues, br 'I do not like my parents', br Note a troubled child resides out there, br Fatherless, or mother up in heaven. br But do the privileged ever notice br In the next of kin talks we be? br Silent as sudden death, br Timid to share our tragic stories. br In case of life, comfort us, br We feel alone, living in solitude. br Hide our afflictions in barren smiles, br Or strike cold stares when not in the mood. br We mean well in this world that deprives, br Though ambition and ferocity pulls us through. br Never take advantage of our plights, br Rude awakening calls, your eradication now due! br It's sad we're unable to share our life accounts, br Emotionaly starved of our fathers presence, br Whom do we turn to in search of courage and insight, br When the pioneers of our lives set six feet breathless! br I long for a prolonged harmonious gathering, br With those plagued with a common burden. br In choirs we'll recite anecdotes of our fathers, br As we sit by the fire side. A tribute now certain! br Society should adapt to our enigmatic norms, br For an offspring without a father is a vulnerable one. br This is a note to the troubled child, br Who still values a new day br Beneath the morning sun.
