I could not stay down in the deepest part of despair br as always my fictional characters came with a play br an allegory, a parable of wisdom triumphant over br blackness and death, as I grit my teeth and sank br lower under the yoke br br The drama they enacted started to lift my feet until I br was out of my body - determined to wear the crown br of thorns I went to French class to listen to politics - br presented by Christophe Emery – and determinedly br the story kept going br br Then we talked about cloning and clichés, there was br room for me to breathe, better emotion than horror at br politicians’ complete lack of ethics filled my heart, we br listened to Rima explain about Maghreb, I showed br her the article about Algeria br br Where classic Arabic is the state language although br nobody can understand it; the sun came out and the br purple explosions of Jacarandas became an Arc de br Triomphe for me – I can visualise you in a new way, br see you conquer the enemy: br br Loneliness and despair - I dream of Carine being br uplifted and finding new joy, her eyes opening br wide to see the beauty inside br the wonder of life...
