Romeo Della Valle - A Weary Poet

Romeo Della Valle - A Weary Poet

Buried in blue and yellow, br Beneath fire blankets br And a bold maroon comforter, br One sheet lumped in a corner, br I am just warm enough br To be unselfishly conscious br Even of my own thoughts… br br Absent of physical strain, br Tired, I try to focus br While holding my magic pen, br Which carries a precious secret? br But it floats away br Like music once it passed br The secret way br While going out preserved, br Totally undisturbed… br br Suddenly, I heard a loud voice br This seemed to remove the distance, br Perhaps, it was my soul, br Speaking to me of worthy things br Or urging my heart to be willing… br br Now, I am seeking more br Than hiding behind my weariness, br Looking into the darkest bright, br Seeing riddles hidden in my soul br And questioning at the same time br My broken and stubborn heart, br Why do you still refuse br To reconcile with my eased mind? br No answer precipitates the air br Breathing this weary poet… br br br ©All Rights Reserved-2011br br Romeo Della Vallebr br
