Jessie Hopkins - Suffering in Silence

Jessie Hopkins - Suffering in Silence

Anger flowing through me, br fighting to be free. br I pull it in. br I push it down. br I lock it deep inside of me. br br Though this cause pain, br slowly driving me insane, br I keep it in, br deep inside, br so I may not cause another's pain. br br Others see my happy mask, br not knowing of my painful task. br I smile as I scream. br I laugh as I weep. br None see past the mask. br br I bury myself in my stories. br Horrors hidden within glories. br Pen as sword. br Ink as blood. br Sorrows hidden in romance stories. br br Sometimes I wonder if the only way to flee br from this anger is to cause myself to bleed. br I shudder at the sight br of that frightful knife. br This is not the way to flee. br br I will never tell another. br Why make myself a bother? br I suffer in silence br for it is my way br to get myself through another br day.
