Stephen Cahill Furlong - Mother, Mother

Stephen Cahill Furlong - Mother, Mother

Mother, mother. My beloved mother, br I hope you know my love for you is like no other. br You do me every favour to show that you care, br And no matter what way we may argue, br I learn that your decisions are all so very fair. br br You are a lovely woman and someone to behold, br You're more of a prize to me than any pot of gold. br I see you every day and I think to myself, br "Wow, this angel gave me life! " br This isn't all you're admired for br As I'm sure you make a brilliant wife. br br You do every chore around the house; br Where do you get the time? br I'm just surprised that, after so much tiring work, br You're doing rather fine. br br At heart, you are very beautiful; br A strong and responsible creature. br Since birth, I have regarded you br As my life-experience teacher. br br I'm privileged that you became my mother, br That you were the only one; br You raised me to be me br And gave me hope as big as the sun. br br Where would I be without you br Now that every year I've known you, br My endless love for you grew? br br I so wish to thank you mother infinitely br For absolutely everything you've done for me. br I have the intention to owe you back, definitely. br Love is all I ask more from you br So you get some back by yours truly: Ste.
